With a background in statistics and economics, Paola is a high school teacher. She has held managerial and representative roles in several non-governmental organisations. She has contributed to a course on Policies for Childhood and Adolescence within the Degree Programme in Institutions and Policies of Human Rights and Peace at the University of Padua. She served as President of CIAI – Italian Association for Aid to Children – from 2011 to early 2021. Since May 2021, she has been President of Amref Health Africa Italy. She has been a member of the International Board of Amref Health Africa since 2025.
Guglielmo Micucci has been Group Director, Fundraising and Development Amref Health Africa since June 2025. He has worked in international development for 25 years, working in various countries including Kosovo, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Lebanon and holding a range of roles in administration and finance. From 2008 to 2010 he served as an Administrative Manager and then as the Director of Administrative and Financial Department of Amref Italy. From 2010 to 2014 he was responsible for the Administrative and Financial Department of AGIRE (Italian Agency for Emergency Response). In 2014 he came back to Amref Italy as Executive Director until May 2025, when he moved to the global role at Amref’s headquarters.
Guglielmo holds a degree in statistics and economics from the University of Bari. He has a master’s degree in economics and non-profit cooperation for Development from the CARID - University of Ferrara. Since 2009, he has been President of PRIME Italy, an NGO that supports asylum seekers and refugees in Italy.
Claudio Naiaretti graduated as an architect from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. He has been active in international development since the 1990s, initially working on projects in Colombia, and later as Secretary General of the Federation of NGOs of Italian-speaking Switzerland. His expertise encompasses supporting, evaluating, and advising projects in Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
Claudio remains actively involved in the social sector in Italian-speaking Switzerland and continues to support development projects as a member of local charities and foundations. For him, supporting Amref Health Africa means being part of a process he believes in, one that is rooted in the community.
Silvia Rossato is a manager with over 30 years of international experience in supply chain management, procurement, and digital transformation, with a strong background in managing complex projects and organisational optimisation.
She believes in the values of collaboration, responsibility, and sustainable development, which guide her work in international contexts. She holds an Executive MBA, has a strong multicultural sensibility, and is fluent in Italian, German, and English.
For Silvia, being part of Amref Health Africa represents an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to high-impact social projects and sustainable development on the continent.
Nadia Fiore has over twenty years of experience in the non-profit sector, with a strong background in legal, compliance, and governance.
She has been with Amref Italy since 2004, holding a range of senior leadership roles including Director of Human Resources and Finance. She currently leads the organisation’s Legal and Compliance function.
Nadia worked closely with the Board on the establishment of Amref Switzerland, where she has served as Director since its inception.
Chiara Polti is a non-profit executive with more than 15 years of experience in international cooperation, fundraising, and foundation management across Europe and Africa.
She began her career in Tanzania, serving as Project Manager and Country Director for the NGO Asante Sana from 2005 to 2010. During this period, she led community-based projects including the construction and launch of an orphanage and a hospital, as well as agricultural and microcredit initiatives. She later managed the start-up of Ikelu Hospital in Njombe, also in Tanzania, and worked in Rwanda on post-conflict community projects.
Building on her operational experience, Chiara has held senior leadership roles with a strong focus on foundation management, strategic development, and fundraising. She has led grant-making processes, overseen financial planning and compliance, and managed complex programmes, ensuring measurable and sustainable impact. She has also developed fundraising strategies and strengthened institutional partnerships across international contexts.
